Cobham and Luddesdowne Kent

Welcome

Hello, Welcome to our website. We are delighted that you have found us. We hope that you will find us interesting and that you will find what you are looking for. We have three buildings and two church communities. Our two main churches are of historical and architectural interest. St Mary Magdalene Church, Cobham, is a large 13th c church famous for its brasses, which seats around 250 people. St Peter's and St Paul’s Church Luddesdowne is smaller, seating around 100 people and boasts some beautiful Victorian paintings. Both of these churches are popular for weddings. If you are interested in a wedding or baptism service please contact The Rev'd Canon Alyson Davie on 01474 812068 or email alyson@stjohnsmeopham.co.uk  (Rest Day:- Friday)

Our third building is St Mary’s Church Room in Sole Street which is currently in a process of renovation. Sole Street WI decided to commemorate the end of WW1 by knitting poppies to decorate St Mary's Church Rooms, click here to see the poppies, click here to see the display

Visitors.  We want to share our buildings and make them available for others. The church in Cobham is therefore open during daylight hours for visitors and you are most welcome to pay a visit. To visit Luddesdowne Church you will need to make an appointment or join us at one of our Sunday services. We also open Luddesdowne Church on some Saturdays during the summer. To find out more or make an appointment please email the church office or phone the office on 01474 - 813495.

Whilst we are proud of our buildings we believe that the church is people. We are joined together by our faith in Jesus Christ. He is the one who unites us and has chosen to live within us. It is him that we worship and love and it is our sincere prayer that our visitors will encounter the presence of God and experience his love for themselves. You are very welcome to join us!
